Amongst the Collingwood faculty, an unmistakable musician resides -- magnifying her eminent aptitude as a singer and pianist. Aside from managing Collingwood’s sensational Admissions Team and Admissions Ambassadors; it comes to no surprise that Ms. Clark is highly masterly in the performing arts.
Ms. Clark sustained this musical vocation before the young age of four, transfigured by a piano sitting alone in her house enticing her to play, and, eventually prompting her request for lessons. As a young girl, Ms.Clark made countless contributions to her elementary, and high school community through being exceedingly involved in an array of choirs and bands at her school. Playing the piano for school musicals and being the head of the alto section, as well as learning the flute -- Ms.Clark became reputable for her tuneful talents at a young age. She credits much of her musical success to her performing arts teacher Mrs. Warren who helped her expand her repertoire and develop her musical skills.

During post-secondary education, Ms. Clark was a university resident pianist who captivated audiences every week at “The University Club” sometimes performing solo and other times within a trio. This club is now known as the Nightingale restaurant in Vancouver. When asked about her experience playing live for audiences; Ms. Clark's; eyes instantly lit up, and a smile formed across her face; “It was really enjoyable, quite fun”. When Ms. Clark first began working as an educator she was the Director of senior music at York House School. During this time, she introduced many aspiring artists to the many opportunities the musical world had to offer. Taking students across North America to compete in competitions, and expanding their knowledge of the arts -- Ms. Clark certainly influenced the lives of numerous people.
Ms. Clark has since immersed herself into the musical culture, nevertheless retaining a love for educating, inspiring, and expanding her Collingwood community. Ms. Clark has likewise developed a secure sense of music and all that it entails, proclaiming the firm philosophy that music should be felt, and not just read. She strives to achieve this profundity in her own work, endeavoring to leave the audience in genuine awe, and with an unspoken insight into her inner emotions. As a result of Ms.Clark’s diverse musical background she has perfect pitch; the ability to recognize the pitch of a note or to produce any given note; a sense of absolute pitch.
Aside from expanding her capabilities in her musical instrument, she also is quite respected for her many accomplishments within multiple choirs internationally. Auditioning and belonging to some of the most reputable and distinguished choirs across Canada such as Elektra Women's Choir, The Phoenix Chamber choir, and The Vancouver Chamber Choir -- Ms. Clark had the possibility to expand her music career even further. She represented Canada at the highly esteemed World's championship where she performed at the Sydney Opera House. Additionally, She was given the opportunity to travel across Europe performing in The European choral festival. While singing in the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Ms. Clark toured across British Columbia and Canada, recorded records and albums, and performed on CBC.
Ms. Clark deems music to be a form of a safe haven as one can plunder the abstract beauty of music. With a particular interest in the genre of Jazz, Ms. Clark believes music has dramatically influenced her life, and that she would be a very different person without it. She sees music as a world within itself, with a language anyone from anywhere can understand. To her the beauty of music is that it is so universal, so far reaching, and touches the hearts of everyone at some point. Her advice for aspiring artists is to continue with their musical passions even as an adult. “You can enjoy music in your adult years, just as you can enjoy it in your school years”. As Ms. Clark continues to engage so thoroughly in this forte, we can accurately define her as an extraordinary musician.

She makes her impact on the school community, and world daily which has ultimately lead to her many successes. Ms. Clark has a truly inspiring work ethic, undying determination, and is very well-rounded which has inspired so many. Perhaps what is most formidable able Ms. Clark is that she has stayed true to herself, her passions, and has continued to explore her love for the performing arts. After all, music is only love looking for words.
