A grade 11 student at Collingwood School, Tess Whitworth is an amazing visual artist. Other than art, her hobbies include dancing and hanging out with her friends.
Her passion for art was inspired by her uncle, who is also an artist. One of her uncle’s favourite mediums is watercolour painting, and because of him, Tess uses watercolour painting for many of her artistic creations as well.
This past year, she has been particularly interested in watercolour painting because she loves the way it blends and the calming effect it has on her art.

Tess is currently working on a personal narrative. “Art for me is a way of expressing your feelings, opinions, and who you are as a person,” says Tess, "I like looking at my old art and seeing what kind of mood I was in when I created it and what kind of mediums I used."
Tess's future aspirations are to continue to grow as an artist and find different ways of expressing herself through art.
"I hope that as I get older, I advance in different kinds of mediums and art styles."
