Oliver Atkins is amongst the ranks of Collingwood’s finest and most diverse artists. He is not only an extremely talented photographer, but an equally great graphic designer. Oliver is also passionate about tranforming his dreams into reality. Oliver has taken a few projects of this nature under his wing.
This past November, Oliver took to the stage as a showcase presenter on Speech Day. His TED Talk was focused on the idea of how we, as a generation, are not go-getters like the generations before us. Oliver presented a project that he worked on : a relatively simple watch face. Of course, there is a twist. He saw this project through: from a simple design he sketched, he ended up with a 3D-printed watch face.
The go-getter attitude in Oliver does not just stop there. Oliver runs a fingerboard company, Animal Decks & Supply Co. in which he imports and distributes boards and supplies. It is correct to say that he has a knack for business too.
On behalf of the Arts Mag Team, I would like to wish Oliver good luck in his future pursuits both artistically and otherwise.
