Arts Magazine is a student initiative group that showcases the artistic talents at Collingwood School. In this video it features and gives examples of performing arts at Collingwood School. First we see the choir singing. At Collingwood there are many singing classes and programs to join. In the mornings there are choir ensembles and during school time there are courses to express the love for singing. In this video, I have featured the concert choir, which is practicing for the upcoming Christmas concert. At Collingwood one cannot simply miss listening to the choir, as it is filled with talented singers and euphonious voices. Secondly, we have the band playing their music, also in preparation for the Christmas concert. As many people know, Collingwood consists of many talented musicians, soloing at morning assemblies and concerts. Next, there are two short videos of talented students dancing. Dancing is a physical movement that grasps the emotions and breath from the audience. Each year Collingwood has several dance choreography shows, which are always exciting and soothing to the eye. Lastly, we have clips from the current play Dairy of Anne Frank, starring two casts. Each casts perfectly reflects the intensity and truthfulness of a Jewish family during World War II.
Collingwood is filled with talents and amazement. Collingwood excels at both performing and visual arts and the goal of Arts Magazine is to seek for those passionate, inspirational and creative individuals and shine a spotlight on the school community.
