In Leon’s opinion, art is a unique language with which we can communicate. One is able to express much more through artistic expression than through spoken language. Even though Leon started to play harmonica in the United States, Jang inspires his musical style. Leon likes to listen to Japanese music, to classical music, and to Latin music. He likes these three types of music in particular because he can feel more emotions and have more thoughts toward them.
Leon loves badminton and table tennis. In his spare time, he likes to watch animation and to listen to music. Leon will not be majoring in music after high school, but he will definitely continue to play and to practise music for as long as he can.
This piece of Leon’s work is called终端の王と异世界の骑士原曲名. There is not really an English word for this piece. This piece is self-arranged by Leon and is taken from a famous animation. Since this is Leon’s favorite anime, he loves his cover of this piece with all of his heart.
The second piece is called Aishiteru banzai. It is the Japanese word for “loving you for a million years”. As you can see, it is very slow and calming. The tune is very catchy and it flows very well. For Leon, the hardest part of playing this piece was expressing his emotions, as it was easy to get lost in the techniques. He chose this piece because it is very beautiful and challenging.
