Zoom Fest by Jake Francis
Watch This! is our first official Film and Media screening event at Morven.
The show is conceptualized and organized by the senior Film council and led
by our Grad 12 council leaders: Sunny Sun, Isla Cormack, Keira Paterson and Severin Jackson.
The evening was created to celebrate the work of film and media students over the past years.
The show will feature a range of media styles and creative approaches, including movie trailer remixes, short narrative films, documentaries, film analyses, experimental media and 4 Zoomfest films made by Collingwood students.
We hope to make this an annual event and can't wait to see what these artists create next.

The Collingwood Film Club was founded back in 2016 by Mr. Francis and Mr. Pimentel as a place for film enthusiasts to meet, collaborate, and share their interest in the art and science of movie magic. Every year, students in and out of the club compete in the Annual 48-hour student film festival: Zoomfest. The students are given a theme and prop to make a movie from start to finish in 48 hours. This year, we submitted four films to the province-wide competition, and two of our student films, Above All and Bedlam, received a total of 4 nominations for Best Cinematography, Technical, Art Direction, and Sound Design.
